ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T overview

The ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T is one of the most advanced tablets on the market.The tablet received positive reviews  for solid build and premium-feeling, awesome display, powerful hardware, crisp and fast performance, expandable storage, excellent docking experiencing with attached keyboard, very good  WI-FI performance quick charging time and great battery time. Some reviewers were however critical of a bit of ASUS bloatware and some other preinstalled applications, the camera quality, no flash, single speaker poorly placed in the back so the sound is not too good, no standard usb or mini-usb port, no vibration for notifications or feedback in games, proprietary charging cable.


The device features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and an ultra-high WQXGA resolution 2560×1600 pixels 10.1 inches IPS LCD Backlight capacitive display with anti-fingerprint technology, 10-finger touch support, 178° viewing angle and an Outdoor Readable mode for using the tablet in bright sun light.

The Transformer Pad supports seamless multitasking thanks to its  1.9GHz NVidia Tegra 4 quad-core processor newest GeForce ULV graphics adapter with 72 processing cores, and 2 GB of DDR3L RAM. This model also provides 32 GB of onboard storage space, which can be expanded by up to 64GB thanks to the integrated microSD card slot. The tablet also includes 5GB of free ASUS WebStorage for life.

The TF701T packs an 5.0 megapixels camera with autofocus, that supports 1080p video recording on the back and a 1.2 megapixels camera, that supports 720p video recording on the front.

For Internet connectivity, the Transformer Pad features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n networks on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands. It also provides Bluetooth 3.0 wireless technology. The Transformer Pad's other features include GPS and GLONASS, Micro HDMI output to play videos on TV,  Miracast mirroring technology and DLNA, multiple sensors, high-definition SonicMaster audio technology, a premium built-in speaker, 3.5mm headphone jack. Plus, a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery provides up to 13 hours of use per charge.

This device also features the Keyboard Docking Station that transforms the TF701 tablet to notebook mode with a well-built, comfortable full-sized QWERTY Chiclet keyboard with touchpad. Docking station has a built in battery and adds 4 extra hours of battery life to the TF701 tablet. It also has a full size SD card slot and USB 3.0 port.
